Italy of the Regions: The Festival of Regions and Autonomous Provinces comes to Bari

From October 20 to 22, 2024, Bari will host the third edition of "Italy of the Regions", the Festival of Regions and Autonomous Provinces. The event, organized by the Puglia Region in collaboration with the Puglia Public Theater, will take place in the prestigious Piccinni, Petruzzelli and Margherita Theaters, also involving the entire area of Old Bari.

This year's central theme is "The Region of the future between digital and green: what skills to eliminate distances?", reflecting the desire to face the challenges and opportunities of the future. The claim "Let's Zero the Distances" underlines the goal of bridging generational gaps and achieving equal balance in all contexts.

The program includes a series of high-level institutional appointments, including: Region Talks - formal interventions with the participation of government and institutional representatives; and Vision Meetings - informal meetings between stakeholders, institutions and young people.

An innovative aspect is the active involvement of youth associations such as the National Youth Council, Aware, Officine Italia, Agesci, Legambiente and Save the Children.

Among the prominent guests, the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella is announced for the opening ceremony on October 20, and the President of the Council Giorgia Meloni for the closing on October 22. Numerous ministers will also participate, including Roberto Calderoli, Orazio Schillaci, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Nello Musumeci and Andrea Abodi.

The Festival will also be an opportunity to discuss crucial issues such as artificial intelligence, the public administration of the future, innovation in the healthcare sector, the digital and green transition, and the new skills required by the labor market.

A particular attraction will be the Village of Regions, set up between Piazza del Ferrarese and the Walls of Bari, with promotional stands and a rich entertainment program.

The event will be streamed on the website of the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces (www.regioni.it) and on the official social channels.

This Festival aims to be a key moment to outline future regional policies, promoting dialogue between institutions, experts and young people to face the challenges of tomorrow.
